Prolira and Medicare are partnering to roll out DeltaScan medical technology in the Netherlands. Prolira’s DeltaScan is a technology that allows hospitals to early detect delirium in patients, the No. 1 cause of cognitive decline after hospitalization. The technology is now being successfully used in several hospitals in the Netherlands. Medicare will support Prolira in the further rollout of DeltaScan in the Netherlands.
Dominic Spadafore, CEO of Prolira: “In recent years we have spent a lot of time and energy working with our partner hospitals to validate, apply and determine the added value of DeltaScan in practice. We now see that with the help of our objective measuring instrument, hospitals are able to diagnose delirium earlier in their vulnerable patients. We also see that hospitals can realize a significant reduction in inpatient days. I am pleased that Medicare will support us in the Netherlands with the rollout and sales of our DeltaScan technology.”
Xander Schrage, general manager of Medicare: “We have been following Prolira’s success story for some time. Very impressive what the organization and technology have accomplished. Now that we have become a proud partner of Prolira, we are going to work as a distributor to put more hospitals and departments within hospitals on the trail of DeltaScan. We see that this technology can help make an impactful transformation in the care of the frail elderly. Together with healthcare professionals, we are going to work on this with full motivation.”
